Replacing Boat Carpet
I am thinking about replacing the carpet on my Princecraft (14 ft aluminum). Has anyone done this on a Princecraft? Any advise? This maybe a dumb question - but would I need to lift the floor to do this? Also - there are two seats / pedistals. I can remove the seats from the posts - but the posts ar...

Tiller outboard motors and trim
I was just reading a posting on another forum discussing how to best trim out an outboard equipped with power tilt/trim and it got me thinking... Zzipper: There's your problem, the slack line. I suspect you are dropping the rod tip after the hookset, giving the fish slack line. Keep your line tight and reel the tip down (am I making sense???) Any slack line and the fish goes bye bye. Ed I understand exactly what you mean. I think you nailed ...

Hooks are barbed and sharp - I sharpen them out of the package and check them regularly. Rods - medium and medium-heavy. They seem to have plenty of backbone. Bait casting reels. I suspect that I am not reeling in enough line immediately following the hookset and that the slack line is given them en...

Advice needed... What am I doing wrong?
I am hoping someone can help me out with some advice. I'm getting a handle on finding the fish (LM Bass)... where, structure etc. I'm getting a handle on what lures to use (I think). The fish are hitting my baits... and holding on. But... I am consistantly loosing them before I can get them to the b...

Based on the posts above, I checked out the http://www.gmitopdesign.com/ site and took the plunge. I placed my order on Sat, June 30th and had the top in my hands by Wed, July 4th (keep in mind that Mon July 1st was a holiday). The turn around time was incredible! The bimini top itself was perfect a...

A 'Lurker" comes out of the shadows....
Hello everyone. After 'lurking' around the site for the last 6-9 months, I've decided to finally post and begin contributing! I live in Orleans, own a 14ft aluminum PrinceCraft with a 25 HP motor... and despite my best efforts, thoroughly suck at fishing (although I really enjoy trying!). I've done ...
