The schooners still get stocked and I've only fished them a couple times. Not a whole lot of action either times.

There is such a thing as fallfish. They look like a chub kind of with bigger scales.

Pretty sure I saw one on Lake O yesterday. Lot's of ducks, geese and cormorants but this had the colours and profile of a loon.

When you say "the opener" what time of year is that? I always figured you could ice fish in the area.

I'm not sure what the actual law is but around here they harvest fish in both the Napanee and Moira river. Both are off the Mohawk Territory.

Just to chime in... Ok, allow the spearfishing...yep...ALLOW it...BUT: the natives should have to be using hand made spears...nothing they picked up at cdn tire or anything else...a sharpened stick or a sharp piece of stone on the end tied on with vines NO ROPE, NO STRING...only what the forefather...

Are the fish up shallow in the lake you're on?

That fisherman went through only a couple days ago. The ice is really taking a beating down here. You can still find some safe ice but please be careful. Best to check the Quintefishing forum. Lots of ice reports are posted regularly.
