There were 4 other guys on the shore in the same group keeping every fish they hooked up. That is 36 fish a day if they stay legal. How long can that be sustained? They are there almost as much as I am. 3 times a week or so... 108 fish a week... that is close to 1300 fish over a three month period ...

John, Blue Sea is a great, GREAT lake. Tons of fish. Gin-clear waters= adapt presentation accordingly. If you can get your hands on the depth chart prior to going, you'll have a much better idea of where to fish. IIRC there are 2 launches: one in Messines, and another in Blue Sea village. Have fun GG

Are you sure that was bear poo? At this time of year, bear dung should have mostly berries. Wolves, on the other hand, continue to scavenge for furry creatures throughout the summer.

... And @ Joncas, there are A LOT of wolves.

A canoe. No motor? That's easy! Go to any NCC service desk, or Tourisme Outaouais office, and get yourself a map of Gatineau Parc. Aside from going to Lake X, it's by far your best bet, I think. There is a fair breeze forecasted for today, so Lac LaPeche might be a challenge if you're on your own, b...

Nice report! Glad to hear you had a good time. Whitefish Lodge is, by far, one of the best hidden gems in the Outaouais. I hope that place never gets any bigger, but keeps being successful. They are sitting on a gold mine. Just one question: What was your technique for whitefish? Strictly trolling? GG
