Re: Here's ONE for FUN What's your Largest Panfish caught?
Although I’ve caught some pretty big panners I’ve never put the tape on any or scale. I do have a story of a lake that I ice fish which I think is unique (maybe not). A few years ago a buddy took me to this Lake were when you drop your vexilar transducer into the 24’ water it lights up from 1’ below...

Re: 1000 islands fishing
Not sure if you know this already or not. Gan launch kind of sucks for parking where you launch & park is almost 4-5 blocks away so obviously someone has to stay with the boat & someone has park.
As for fishing look for shoals there's some big ones, dropshot, tubes will work.

Beauties! I also fish with a guy named Mike that sure sounds a lot like the Mike you're fishing with! The back & forth is constant must be a Mike thing!

Let The Games Begin Zone 20
Should be a good opener, water levels back to normal, dams wide open the only downside I can see has been the cool weather couple of warmer days might have made it prime. Looks like it might be a bit choppy for opening Saturday.
Good luck to all that are heading out.

Re: Getting the lead out.....
Most of all my fishing is done on the St.Lawrence or a connecting water way most of it is all jigging except Carp. Most of my all my fishing uses lead from terminal tackle like tube jig heads, jig heads, dropshot to ice fishing jigs with some tungsten for icejigs. I lose more topwater baits to Pike ...

Re: Winter catch up...
"This winter has been a time to kick back a bit. I fished a bit but really pick my spots to do it, days of beating myself up in -30 are done." I hear you on that! Been many days I choose to stay inside versus going out to sit in my shack in the -20 to -30 days. I figure they'll be there to...

Ice Ice Baby
This has been the best icefishing season since 2015 in my opinion, been able to fish several spots that haven't seen ice since 2015. The season always starts off with Crappie, it could be Perch but I just don't like fishing Perch. Something about the sun going down, the light of a lantern & hum ...

Them hutts look pretty sweet & folks are catching fish. I know a few guys that have gone further this season to rent bungalows & caught nothing in 4 days. Good luck with the rest of the season!

Re: St. Lawerence softwater walleye opener?
There's a few spots that sell Minnows Extreme Angling in Cardinal & Carpins in Ingleside. My experience is Carpins has a better selection of muds & shiners where EA just has shiners. I'm stocked with 3/8oz to 3/4oz jig heads usually 1/2oz is my preference. I really like Gulp products leeches...
