I am looking for a 15 degree prop, 13.5 inches for an Evinrude E-Tec 75hp. The stock prop is a 19 pitch which is good for speed and fishing, but terrible for watersports. They are about $160 all in at Orleans Boat world, which isn't bad, but would like to pay less if possible. Thanks for the replies...

Mal's Camping - Info needed

I am camping at Mal's Camping in Lanark this coming weekend. I hear the river is very shallow, and probably not good to put the boat in there. Is anyone familiar with this area? Should I just drive up to Mississippi Lake and launch there? I have a 16.5 ft. Fish and Ski. If you recommend just going u...

I fish in the same neck of the woods as you, and have had pretty much the same luck with frogs this year. So many boils, so few fish in the boat. I suspect the murky Ottawa River also affects the Bass' ability to target the frogs. I'm going to be cutting down the legs on my Spro Frogs so that the ta...

Muskrat Lake Bass Help

Going camping this weekend for the first time at Cedar Haven on Muskrat Lake. Any advice out there on where I will find the bass on this lake?

I made it in there last week, no problem in the spring, but it is really shallow in late summer depending on how they regulate the water levels in the river.

When you refer to the Cumberland launch, are you referring to Quigley Hill?

There's nothing better than catching pike on a buzzbait. What area of the Ottawa do you guys usually fish? I generally fish the Petrie - Wendover Corridor...largest I've caught this year might be a 3lbs...weak.

Ottawa River Pike - Where did they go?

Is is just me or is anyone else struggling to find the lpike this year on the Big O? I've tried shallow bays, stumps, structure, weed beds, with everything I've got except for plastic, and have very little to show for it. Areas that last year would yield a number of hits have given up very few. What...

Thanks for letting me know, I agree $25 a shot is ridiculous, but $120 for the season isn't too bad if you go a dozen times. The boat launch at Petrie is good, but the ride out to the channel is always dicey, never know what's lurking in the bottom. If its anything like last year, just get to Rockla...

Thanks a lot guys, seems like either option will be fine. I have an E-Tec, so I can winterize it myself very easily for the next 3 years before I have to bring it in to the shop. Gotta love those Evinrudes.

Winter Storage - Indoor or Outdoor

Gentlemen, This is my first winter with my boat. My first instinct is to store my boat indoors, although the only inddor storage I can find is not heated, and in a rural area, cement floor, metal building. If you have the choice of that, or to shrink wrap it and store it with Orleans Boat World in t...

Thanks a lot guys, I'll be out there bright and early. I just think $20 to launch you boat is a total rip if you can drive an extra 8 mins. and launch it for free in Wendover. I'll certainly come by and say hi if I see your yak out there Joco. Look for my Lowe, I'll be fishing the weed lines early on.
