The lodge that was on the lake has shut down again. They never seem to last. There are usually many cottages for rent but that time of year is usually pretty tight, best to start looking early. The fishing has been very slow the last 2 years. Partly to blame on the last lodge as it catered to fishin...

Another time I was surf fishing in cape cod w/ chopped squid for bait and had a sea gull nab my bait on a cast before it hit the water...luckily I was able to pull it out of its grasp without hooking it....then I started to notice seals taking intrest in what I was doing so I left the area, as alth...

I dont know if I would waste my time with ottawa police . they would be concerned if they had their seats belts on while driving there or if they maybe didnt come to a full stop at a stop sign. dont waste your dime. If that is the concern tell the cops you think you can see them drinking on the wat...

Fitzroy Harbour

Does anyone know where you can shore fish for pike/eyes in Fitzroy harbour? I've heard there are some decent pike in the area there.

Opened it up this weekend past. Everything survived the winter nicely except one damn pipe which blew out. Of course we didn't find it until it had deposited 3" of water onto the electrical panel room floor. Fishing boat is in the water, docks are in, grass is seeded and all the major spring/op...

Some nice buckets. I've found that in the evening using a Zara Spook with aggressive walking punctuated by short rests has netted me many fish in 'larger' size).

I figured it was easy as it looks it. I guess I am just looking for reassurance that I won't do any damage to the motor by reversing the head. Guess I'll give it a go this weekend.

Reversing the Head on Minn Kota trollers

I have a 40lbs Minn Kota troller that is a transom mount. We now have a new Sylvan boat with a cut away transom...which means no more mounting the troller on the back. Anybody know if (and how) I can reverse the 'head' on the motor to make it a bow mount?

The posted regs do say "2nd Saturday in May". That would mean you can't fish until midnight does it not?

Downwind, over the side. So liberating....of course I spend 75% of my time in back bays so it's pretty private.

You might want to consider extending the wires and placing the battery in the front or middle of the boat unless you are willing to drop some money for a bigger motor. I would concur. I had a 14' with an old Merc 9.9 on it. Add me, the transom mount troller, my gear and the battery and it took a ll...
