Laker Slot for Lake Ontario

Hey Guys have been told that there is a slot size for Lake Trout on Lake Ontario. Have checked the regs and can't find anything about it. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or let me know the regs on this. Heading down in the morning, to skakedown new/used boat, need a net man. If interest...

I am semi-retired, and run a small printing business out of my house. I print on glassware, wine glasses, shot glasses and the like for weddings. I also screenprint T-Shirts. My hours are quite flexible and I love to spend time on the Ottawa River. Also just picked up an 18 foot Starcraft to sample ...

Hey Wallyboss

you're right about the poor contact. If I move the wire next to the plug that goes into the unit, I can get the light on the plug that goes into the power source to go off and on. Hope I don't have to send the whole thing back for a faulty external power cord.

Thanks

Lowrance H2OC problem

Has anyone had trouble with the external power source for this unit? Just bought it and the plug in power cord seems to heat up.

Hello Sheldon

Not an electronics major, but if you run two 12 volt batteries, doesn't that give you 24 volts?

Thanks

Hello gonefishin I got the idea that the engineers that made Johnson/Evinrude, Merc, or any Ski-Doo motor know a little more than I. Therefore follow their advice. A little extra oil is not going to hurt, if it gives you peace of mind. It will just foul your plugs and make your motor smoke a little ...

Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout

Help! Price of gas has gone through the roof. Looking for a few retired old farts like myself to help with the cost of gas. I like to fish Lake Ontario for Salmon and Trout during the week to stay away from the crowds. If interested send a PM. You don't have to be an old fart. You have heard of car...

How many batteries?

Have an 18 foot Starcraft equipped for Lake Ontario, just set it up over the winter and ready to shake it down. Will be running downriggers, sonar, GPS unit, and starter for the motor, off the battery. Would it be wise to add a second battery with a switch.

Thanks

1 Litre equals 1000 ml. Divide 1000 by 50 and you will have the the answer per litre. Works out to 20 ml. of oil per litre of gas, for a 50/1 ratio. By the same token if your engine calls for 25 to 1 it would be 40 ml. of oil per litre of gas. Carry a measuring cup and when you fill up and you will...

Hey Andy Looks like you're going to wear that Starcraft out. When you figure out the lake give me a shout, I can help you haul them out. Will be shaking down my 18 foot Starcraft early next week. Will drop it in the Ottawa to make sure everything is as it should be. A day or two later, if all is wel...

Salmon Fishing (Siwash Hooks vs. Treble Hooks)

Sorry put this in the classified forum, head like a turnip at times. Does anyone use single Siwash Hooks on their spoons for salmon fishing Lake Ontario. I used to fish Lake Michigan years ago and it was common practice back then to switch the trebles for single Siwash Hooks. At the time it seemed l...

Salmon Fishing (Siwash Hooks vs. Treble Hooks)

Does anyone use single Siwash Hooks on their spoons for salmon fishing Lake Ontario. I used to fish Lake Michigan years ago and it was common practice back then to switch the trebles for single Siwash Hooks. At the time it seemed like the thing to do. Was told you get more hook-ups per strikes. Anyb...

Hey Superdad I was down there last Thursday doing a little recon, I should have taken my boat. Checked out Collins Bay, Finkles Park in Bath, and then decided to end up for lunch in Wellington. I love to drive along that Bath Road. Looks like the weather this week is going to be great to give the b...
