I'm about 20 minutes to the west gate of Algonquin park and we have a heathly population, However they usually are not that bold in behavior,, stay away from people pretty much......

Did alittle trout'n this mornin........4 wolves cruised by my fishin hole for a complimentary dinner on frozen shiners while I was makin my fire......2nd time I've seen them this ice season......

We stayed at the cobblestone 2 years ago for 4 days and fished Farren for 2 of them without great success for splake ,, one splake about 10" was all we had to show.. We fished the east side by the big Island and the west side however there were lots of jumbo perch iced which made for a great sh...

Not sure about everywhere but in the muskokas they have done away with fin clipping (finally),, but the strain , species and year class all play part in which fin gets clipped .......

Take all my pics at home so only have the trout ..........sorry folks...... those pics can be incriminating as well,, especially OOS fish.....

Since everyone headed back to work after the long weekend , I thought I would hit my trout hole for a couple hours and "WOW",,, I hooked into what I thought was one of those 10lb splake that this lake produces quite regularly, and after about 10 minutes of this fish peelin line out I final...

Someone was watchin out for you,, maybe the fish gods...............

Congrats, I can already see them in the pan...........I'll be hittin the lake on Saturday..................

Well I hit my little lake today expecting another limit of those fine tastin splake, however they had other plans....I had to pull out my bag of tricks just to get the 2 that I did... lots of hits , just hittin short
