Nice fish Matt. Still waiting for one on a top raider.....that actually stays on and doesn't just make a huge tease splash.

Here's some important information that Derek left out from his report. Just before we caught the last musky, we were trolling when the rod went off. I jumped up, grabbed the reel and felt the head shakes....and then I felt the empty feeling of a believer being reeled in without a fish on it. Plus, t...

One of the most disgusting posts I have read on this site in a long time. I use this launch a lot during the Musky season when I'm not on the Ottawa. If stealing a trailer isn't bad enough and it's pretty bad, slashing the tires would be the last straw for me. These jokers need to be brought out to ...

Good thread. I bought my first boat 2 years ago. Overall I'm pretty pleased but I wish I knew then what I know now. 1st I wouldn't have any extra's like fish finders or trolling motors installed by the dealer or factory. Way overpriced and easy to do yourself. Secondly I would always go to the max h...

Everyone is quick to bash LeBaron's. I to have had issues with them but it's always like that once in a while. Take Cabela's...my buddy and I went to Chicago for the Muskie show and decided to hit the Cabela's while we were there. I wanted to get a rod holder for the inside of my SUV. We stood there...

Joco, I had the exact same thing happen. To think I thought bungy cords was a great idea on my part. I was wrong. I guess it's a little better knowing all the things that have happened to my new boat, has happened to everyone else. Maybe we'll just call them battle scars and make up some cool story ...

This is my set up for Muskie trolling. I purchased the downrigger supports to almost eliminate the drilling into my boat. My work was done by Dave from Trojan Tackle. Mailed the brackets to him. He worked his magic and shipped them back to me. Great guy to deal with. http://i281.photobucket.com/albu...

Mercury Extended Warranty???

Just looking for everyone's thoughts on extending warranties with new Mercury Engines. My first year is almost up and I have to decide whether or not to extend it. It's a 2007 4 Stroke 60HP engine. Is it worth the extra money?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Just received my S-17 Salty Bolt On Rod holders in the mail. They look great and very durable. I guess we'll see come November. I have to say I always receive great service from Rollie and Helen's Muskie Shop. Very quick delivery compared to a lot of other internet comp...

Rod Holders

I am looking to purchase 2 rod holders for trolling in my Princecraft boat. I fish mainly for Muskie and I am looking to by good ones. Any suggestions from you Muskie fishermen? I am thinking a flush mount system even though I cringe at the thought of drilling holes in my new boat. Any suggestions w...
