Re: A Miracle Happened... sorta

Tks for the thoughts guys. Yea he was lucky this time. You can bet your bottom dollar he will always inspect the springs from now on. Maybe this story will save someone else from having the same thing happen. The weird thing here is that all the leaf springs sheared off completely at the same time. ...

A Miracle Happened... sorta

And I'm not very religious, though I was born RC. My brother owns a 2000 Nitro 882 with a 150 Merc and a Shorelander trailer he bought 5-6 years ago. This was originally a package deal sold at gmas. It hasn't seen a lot of use the last few years between his son moving out and weird overheating issue...

Re: Water Access Law?

Congrats on the purchase Steve. You would think your new neighbor wouldn't have a big prob with you just launching a canoe. Offer him some fish and all should be good you would think. Perhaps he's worried about opening the door too far. Or maybe he's just a jerk lol. Good luck with your dilemma. Che...

LF Used Carp

Some Carp I figure must be deep hooked. Plus they eat lots of eggs off the bottom. Not a prized fish here except for the fun of catching them. I should have thought of this during Carpin' season but it's still worth a shot. I bait bear with mostly bakery/sweets and it works great. Don't have to use ...

I think you nailed it Wallyboss. I'm sure Rob knows better than getting a bear used to people and their food. Maybe Birdee's gonna bear hunt this year hehe. Cheers

Re: Magical morning before doing some work...

Beauty fish man. Congrats on a great morning. As for inconsiderate boaters it's amazing how many jerks are out there sometimes. Last week on the Miss one arsehole spent 25 minutes at the launch getting all their crap together and holding other people up before launching. Idiots. It's only common sen...

Re: Back to my home lake.

The one thing I remember Chucky telling me about Roddick was that the only thing that worked for Pickerel was to do the after dark flat lining over big water. Not sure why I remember that lol. Have a good weekend with the bass. Cheers

Beauty fish there. Congrats.
I noticed your net there in the boat. I always thought that fish cradles were preferred by Musky and big pike fisherman, or was that just a fad that has passed on?
Cheers

Re: Deep Cycle Battery on kicker??

Makes sense to me as long as it's only the kicker doing the charging. I guess I'm out of touch a bit lol. Wouldn't have figured a 9.9 came with a generator. Electric start too? Must be a heavy engine. Back in the day I think the 9.9 omc's were under seventy pounds. I know my 6 hp is 56 lb. A 2A char...

Re: Closed End blind rivets

Heya Steve. I would think that local marinas would carry them. You may also be able to repair those rivets with a bucking tool instead of replacing them. Or even use those aluminum epoxy sticks that you melt with a torch. I had good luck with that many years back and it's still holding up fine. Cheers

Re: Large Pike???

Ottawa River. Most under used fishery around. And you might just tap in to a large Muskie as well. I would think that Centennial Lake must have big fish as well. Bobfly, how are you going to tell how well they release? If you really want to know just ask Moosebunk. He has caught hundreds of large PIk...
