heya CCLad . yea we went out yesterday to the point . Stopped at the last shack to talk to the lads there . We parked inside the point at first and walked out with the auger but there's a good 10" of ice so we brought the truck out . One thing I found funny was that there was not much current ....

went out to the point last evening . definitely want a 4wd to make it that far . 10 in. of good ice so no prob driving out there . We fished in 7-8 ft of water. probably should have moved further out to 9-10 ft as all we got was one dink and a 1lb lost at the hole but at least we got out . was good ...

I have a Martin 4010w 10500 btu camping heater that is at least 25 years old and still runs great . It has thermostat control which is nice . Troll I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new heater . I just checked at Cabelas and the over 200 reviews were very good . There's no mention of filters or problems . Nice looking rig . I'm sure you're hoping to use it lots cause that means you'll be fishing !! Cheers
