I agree with most of the other replies. The bigger the better as the Ottawa can get real nasty in a real hurry. Whatever you do, save some cash for a good PFD and make sure you actually wear it.

Have had great sucess with Nautilus batteries over the years. I currently have a 625MCA Nautilis starting battery which i purchased in 2003 and a 750MCA Deep Cycle Nautilus which I purchased in 2004. Neither battery has ever let me down. The secret to battery longevity is good maintenance practices....

I would agree with the 2 previous replies that the water in the bilge is nothing serious. However it sounds like your boat can sit in the water for extended periods unattended. I might look to change out the existing bilge pump for an automatic one just for peace of mind. I would also try lowering y...
