Re: Boat Stolen
That's terrible! I hope it turns up. I have to say though, it seems strange that someone just took it in broad daylight.. How well was it tied? My boat floated away on me last year, took a week before a neighbor found it stuck in some reeds in a bay. Good luck! I'll keep my eye out!

screw him.
I say report him. That's a real dick move to completely ignore your warning. And his whole comment about Canada being 'different'. I don't like this guy, he sounds WAY too ignorant but what really pee pee me off is that he won't accept being anything BUT ignorant, you gave him the info... He chose t...

gulp
My boyfriend won a tub of them in an ice fishing derby we entered.. I can't beleive how tasty they look in the water, but we still havn't had success with them, BUT we really havn't seriously used them to their full potential, we havn't used them for walleye yet, all we really have done with them is...

oh ya, I used both buzzbaits and poppers while we were out... not as much luck as the mice, tubes and minnows... I didn't get anything on the popper and I used it for a while in the weeds where we were getting tonnes of hits, the buzzbait also didn't produce (which is SO surprising!) They are liking...

Went out this weekend
Went camping this weekend on an island on a lake with Jasonb, we got a lot of fishing in (obviously) There was structure everywhere and trolling over the stumps etc. was producing but we spent a lot of time along the shore throwing topwater and shallow swimming baits in as shallow as we could get in...

I wasn't saying that the MNR will or can afford to put a regulation on it, and as I said in my post, I have no idea who does that... it was just an example of what to do. They should be able to link cleanup with some other law/regulation etc. It will make it cheaper/easier to enforce. It was just an...

HEY!
I'm fairly new here also... and new to fishing for anything besides rock bass/perch. I had only been fishing once before I met my boyfriend last year. Now I'm crazy. And you know what, it's true, there ARE no dumb questions, people here at Fish-Hawk are great, they will answer anything. The discussi...

LOL banning ice fishing is NOT the answer. If we cannot be responsible with the amount of garbage left behind there should be regulatory laws put in place to accompany the ice shack registration, if you can't leave your spot clean, you don't deserve a spot on the ice. Plain and simple. They should m...

Most of the times YES, but you know I do keep some larger fish. For example, Jasonb and I caught a HUGE pike last summer and we got a quick pic and put her back. That is the case most of the time but when I caught my jumbo crappie I kept it for measurements and a tasty meal. I feel that sometimes, w...

LOL I used to work at Lapointe Fish in Byward and we would get carp in around Christmas (some European countries eat carp instead of turkey) I was always told that they were gross and stinky. I've only caught one in my life and have to say, I'm a friggin fan! I can't wait 'till spring to catch some ...

I don't think that you understood what exactly I was saying orrsey. Conservation is a subject that is very close to my heart, a few years ago I ran a small group of people who were all committed to saving a Japanese species of river dolphin which was extremely close to becoming completely extinct. B...

I completely agree with saskie and with that I voted an absolute no. I think that if anything the www is helping educate people on how to conserve the fish population... Before the www was around the only way to find fishing spots would have been word of mouth, from someone who fishes to someone els...
