i use to take the safer road, but ive seen the results of the road less travelled. everyone has always told me: "throw em where they live" and "if you aint losing baits, you aint throwing them in the right places". i was a non believer of the above statements, until i saw for my ...

G'day biggs, I saw that Fishin' Canada episode months ago and contacted them The realistic mouse was fur covered and had large ears that disturbed the water when reeling in. I was told that it is a prototype and I would be notified when it went into production and sale. Cheers, Bill i have found in...

That would be a 10" YUM Dinger with a size 4 or 5 offset hook, rigged texas style. The rod is a Medium Heavy Shimano Compre with 50lbs test PowerPro. I think that captures the spects. I caught this one off the dock at the resort were were staying at about 1 hour after arriving. Didn't even hav...

Check out the services of Captain Tim Fey. I've been out with him twice now, and both times we had a great time. Depending on what the fish have been biting, he'll recommend either live bait or artificial, but you can choose whichever method you want. He just takes you out and will do as much or as...

Re: Swimbait Rod?

I know that everyone is into ice fishing right now (as am I) but I have started thinking about open water again… Next season I want to get into using swimbaits. I am not targeting any one species as yet. The rig I am using right now is a little to light for swimbaits. I have picked out the reel I...

Re: What about ?

painter wrote:As for specifics close to TO. I have no idea.

But try somewhere in the Kawartha's (Peterborough).

Or I bet there would be some place(s) on Rice Lake.

Good luck.
rice lake is roughly 2hrs from TO. Can you recommend any sites?
