Hey BBR...
I can't remember catching pike in the quarries around Port Colborne, but it seems to me we used to catch smallmouth bass.
That was quite a few years ago, can it really be 25 years now...

Hey Coyote... I'm pretty sure that's what someone said. I was waiting to renew a fishing license. But I went to Place D'Orleans instead... The guy was looking for minnows and he said 0930hrs.   You would think that a Bait store would open when the demand was there. Like 0630hrs...

Hey Bucket... Was up home last weekend and the lake was frozen over. There was a couple lads/lasses fishing of the Cobden end. Did not check farther up the lake but I hear there were one or two shacks out farther up the lake on the West (Hwy#17) side of the lake. I will check it out more this weeken...

Hmmm... Mr. Bassboy. Perhaps you read a different post from SS because the way it reads to me is that he was catching them with his hands. He landed ten and lost five. Nowhere does it read that they were jumping onto the bank into his arms and then he threw them back. Perhaps SS was embellishing jus...

Hello all... Well not to cast shadows on Westmeath as I would definitely make a return trip but... I believe in speaking with the owners last year while we were there he indicated that he was planning to take down half of the cabins and put in RV pads. Don't know if he actually did this or not. (Pro...

When I used to go up there with my brothers and Dad we found the pickeral bite tough as well. As I was mentioning at the Chip Pit, I think spot to ge...

Hmmm... How about a 40-inch Bluegill/sunfish???   That lobe shaped body would be a scream trying to pull to the surface...   The 10-inchers on Muskrat were a riot as a kid. A 40-inch smallie??? That thing would probably jump over the boat and spit the hook in yo...
