So is there a politically correct way to tell your somewhat larger buddy that you can go out on the ice 'cause its 4 inches, but that you'd prefer he didn't come to your shack until its 6?

Those fins are cool but they take all the fun out of taking someone float tube fishing the first time and watching them try to walk in the water forwards with their fins on (not that I've gone tubing, I used to dive). What else will they come up with to get rid of the simple pleasures in life???

Easiest way to build one of those fancy ones is to to pick up one of those 12 foot by 12 foot garden shed packages with a gable roof and there's plenty of room even if you want to insulate with hard foam. $2000 total and you can even have a couple of windows and an electric fireplace for ambiance....
