Why should I sponsor you Walleye Man?
He knows, based on your choice of hockey teams, that you can probably be talked into anything.....

Air Boat in Wendover

For the last couple of years I've seen a red air boat operating around the Wendover area and I have seen it up on shore at the Wendover Marina. Does anyone know if that boat is still in the area? I'm asking because we're going to look at a house on the Nation near the marina, and that boat was loud ...

Something else to remember is that if you're fishing tidal water for anything other than Atlantic Salmon, I don't think you need a fishing license. That may have changed over the last few years so you might want to check. If you're fishing parts of a freshwater stream that are affected by the tide, ...

The word "Gar" does not come up at all in a search through the regs for all the zones, but I did find the following statement from the general regs:

Unless stated otherwise, species that are not listed (such as sucker and rock bass) have a year-round open season.

I've found that Spro Bronzeye's work very well and never had an issue with stiffness. The only issue I have is that the pike like them too, and it only takes a couple hammer-handles to tear holes in the frog, which leads to them filling with water. I found Cabelas Chuck-it frog works nearly as well ...

Thanks everyone for the replies/advice. Looks like repairing might not be a bad option if I can get it done for around 60.00. I'll pay Marc Marine a visit. Cheers

Is this broken prop fixable??

Anyone know of someone who could repair this prop for me? Would it even be worthwhile compared to the cost of a new one (likely around $120.00 new). There is no other damage that I can see, just the obvious "missing" piece.

This discussion sounds vaguely familiar...but can't remember where I've heard something similar...Oh well, I blame the torn up trails on the bass boats.

You haven't lived until you've had a few small brookies (8-10") lightly fried in some bacon fat for breakfast. Absolutely would not eat an eel. Growing up near tidal waters in Nova Scotia, we caught a lot of them, some pretty big at 3-4 ft, and I can tell you there's nothing that'll pee-pee you...

Thanks Mcnaughtdu,

We hope to look at waterfront as well. I don't really mind so much if fishing isn't stellar, but if I have a reasonable chance to find fish when I venture out, then that works for me.

Ottawa River - Constance Bay area

Thinking of buying a house in the Constance Bay - Buckhams bay area. I don't know anything about how the fishing is along that stretch of the river. Can anyone tell me how good the opportunities are for smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, and musky? Not looking for hotspots cause I'll find my own if I ...
