Thanks guys for the info. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they can help.
Interestingly enough, I have a trion reel and I tried the handle from it... It works on the left hand retrieve side of the president reel, but not the right! That's so strange

Re: Missing pflueger reel handle
Good point! But I'm still going to wait and see if there's other options... I actually got the reel for 90 and after shipping and handling the handle will be 54$

Missing pflueger reel handle
Hi guys, I was out fishing the opener and somehow I lost the reel handle to my pflueger president size 25 reel. I'm actually having alot of trouble getting a replacement, the shipping and handling will cost almost a third of the reel itself! Any ideas on where to get a compatible handle for cheap?? ...

Re: Ottawa and/or Rideau river temperatures?
If cats are not ur thing, Perch should start biting at Vic island soon, there is a small bay near the culvert that holds them at this time of year. Crappies should b turning on soon as well, but I find they bite better at night in early spring so bundle up!

So I'm going to try my luck shorefishing on the Ottawa for some last chance walleye, and was wondering what you guys throw this time of year on rivers? Only artificials and lures available..was planning on trying powerbait rippleshads and other scented plastics on stand up jigheads or dropshot rigs....

Re: Early spring shore fishing - Jock River / Ottawa South
ur best bet is fishing the Ottawa. Problem is most of it is still frozen over. Once in awhile we get very lucky and the ice is gone by the end of march, just as the season is closing on pike/walleye. Some of the best fishing I've ever had is at that time, but it's only happened to me twice in the la...

Re: Algonquin fishing
Couple things that might help narrow down the search as well: we are coming from Ottawa and don't want to drive too far to save on the gas, and we are going to be shore fishing so probably streams and rivers would be better or some smaller lakes with shoreline access. We Don't need specific spots gu...

Re: Down the hole!
My uncle dropped a fishing rod, then a scoop down the hole... We ended up snagging both of them in separate trips!

Rod holders
Ne One have some ideas for homemade rod holders? Normally I'd buy them, but I need 4 and at 6$ each thats fairly expensive. Really just need something to keep rods off the ice so they don't freeze in.

Re: -34? No problem!!
When its cold I don't find the actual cold to be a problem, its the work that comes with the cold that can be a problem! Went out yesterday to ice fish in Quebec and the weather was brutal! We stayed in a heated shack, but all the holes were outside, so we had to clean them and chisel them to keep t...
