You can also reach further up the creek if you park by the leigon and walk along the fence line to reach the creek

Crappie Season
Due to our milder winter, open water comming earlier, should this move the spring Crappie season up earlier than normal?
Looking forward to getting out again.

Re: life jacket pfd
I have an inflatable jacket, I didn`t want the self inflating because I fish from a Kayak... too much chance of a slip getting in or out of the yak and getting an inflate when I don`t want it. I have slipped in 10 inches of water, ha ha clumsy, But then I am 75 years old.

Re: Canoe lake info?
You can access the lake from the end, I am not sure of the road name but it`s where canoe lake meets eel lake, I don`t know any other access points but I am sure there are. There is a causeway between the two lakes. I have never fished canoe but I have fished eel lake for bass (not great) Cheers Ron...

Re: Soft Water Crappie Season in East Ontario
I was out this morning checking my best crappie spots. The water is not too high and the creeks are starting to open. Its much too cold yet
I took water temperatures and it was 35 to 38 in most spots, the temp has to get up to about 50 or 55 for the crappie to start biting

Re: Getting serious about Kayak fishing; new electronics
I suggest you try the web site, www.yakfisher.net . this is a very active forum like Fish-Hawk, there are guys there using side imaging and lots of high end finders, I mysef use a cheaper model Hummingbird with an inside (shoot through the hull) transducer, it works great.
Good Luck

Re: With Bass season so close....a Poll
Nothing like the water exploding as a large mouth hits a top water plug, I hit the back lakes north of Kingston Loon lake in my fishing kayak
