Enjoy the few times that I do get to get out and not get so wrapped up in (trying) catch impressive fish that I miss the bigger picture.

Custom Walleye Grubs

I've been trying without any luck to find a fairly specific curly tail grub. It's not some weird colour - its just no one seems to make them anymore. Does anyone know where I can either buy or have made apprx 100 2 or 2 1/2 inch black and white grubs - the critical requirements are: 1 - the smaller ...

Re: South & North On The Niska Way. Report.

Epen I think tried the one day on the river to teach me a lesson in patience. My idea was spot hopping in hot pursuit of pike and walleye, while I think his was... to share some slow and peaceful time with a friend whom he sees little of, and catch some fish at our leisure as well. Boy, was I dumb....

Hmmmmm......I wonder where I'll go

Then again I might just shock everyone and go to White first instead, since it was the plan for Sat until I found out about the SEBO tourney.

I swim my dog at Claybanks 2-3 times/week. Based on what I see at the launch water levels are about what they are in August.

Can't help you with trout but for bass there's no shortage of good water in the westerly end:

Mississippi Lake and river
Madawaska Lake and river (just about anywhere you can get at it)
White Lake
Constance Lake
Muskrat Lake

A complete list would be a very ong one....

Where exactly is Pine Ridge - I've fished out of Morning Mist at Stonecliffe a few times (I think Pine Ridge is right beside them). Pike in that strech were scarce - I've only ever had one little snotter come aboard. I hear its better further west in that section where the water gets shallower with ...

it's all good trails are dry , at least where I was last weekend. I doubt you will have any problems to access any lake. I often stay at friend place in Otter Lake as well and I know depot have some maps but i never bother looking at them. I would try depot in ladysmith for some help. If you lookin...

I haven't found that calm is necessary - but one thing that I have noticed in the early season is that there's no point dragging your arse out of bed at some un-godly hour of the morning...until the sun has been up in full and warmed the upper layers of the water column, triggering larvae action the...

Oil change question...

The only thing left on my list that's keeping the boat dry is changing the oil. I'm intentionally dragging my feet hoping to find a neat trick solution to a minor problem that pops up every year: When draining the sump, as the flow dwindles and spent motor oil seeps down the shaft and runs all over ...
