I swim my dog at Claybanks 2-3 times/week. Based on what I see at the launch water levels are about what they are in August.

Can't help you with trout but for bass there's no shortage of good water in the westerly end:

Mississippi Lake and river
Madawaska Lake and river (just about anywhere you can get at it)
White Lake
Constance Lake
Muskrat Lake

A complete list would be a very ong one....

it's all good trails are dry , at least where I was last weekend. I doubt you will have any problems to access any lake.
