We haven't stayed at Lakeside but we have at Thompson's Black Rock. Nice place - not a lot for ammenities; I'm told that they do have showers somewhere there, but since we were only there 2 nights we never bothered to find them - just went for a swim. Campsites were nice and private, near the boat l...

IF it has fish they're most likely brookies. My technique was alway to find a fishy-looking stillwater/pool in the evening, light up a smoke and wait to see if I saw any rises. If I finished my smoke with no rises, I'd move on. If you see any - small bright spinners tipped with a piece of worm or fl...

Early eighties aboard HMCS Annaplois in the Atlantic Ocean. Estimated 80 to 90 foot waves. Upper deck out of bounds for 7 days. You could go on the bridge and look out the windows and see nothing but a wall of water and then see nothing but sky as the ship road the waves. Waves were high enough to ...

I have a relative with a nice cottage in Doupe Bay..... good lake for pike and walleye though ... especially after the second narrows up by Shaw Bay in pelican lake  I've never been to the ...

Jan Lake, SK 2000 Huge storm blew up and turned the lake into mess 3-4' rollers and coming from the worst possible direction...but I'm a sail...

I don't like fish much to begin with - its not that I don't like it but I can promise you there'll be something else in the freezer/fridge/menu that I like more: but of the ones that I do eat occassionally and enjoy: Walleye Perch Pike (only if from cold water) Brookies Scallops Shrimp Don't like: W...
