Look like you guys had a great weekend. I have a question. How is the launch area? Paved? can any boat be launch there?

I've been launching at Petrie and heading east toward Rockland and here's my results. My outing a wek ago with my buddy we fished for 6 hours and he ended up with 7 pikes. He caught them on white spinners and buzzbaits. Me i ended up with 3 pikes that day. My last 2 outings I only ended up with 1 pi...

Do they actually have someone there to take your money? I was there about 2 weeks or so ago, and I just launched. There was a little stand there but no one was there.

Sounds great....i'll be in fitzroy early sat morning to do some onshore fishing. Sunday hoping it's nice, i'll be launching my boat on rideau river. Next weekend, starting friday night my gf and I will be fishing right until monday. i can't wait.

For some reason I thought Zone 12 ottawa river open on the 23rd....guess i'm wrong. Next weekend sound a lot better.

Suppose to rain all weekend. But i'm still going out.

Fitzroy on Sat, and Rideau on Sun. Will be first time fishing on my new boat.

With the season opener of Pike this weekend on Rideau River, is anyone going? I'll be launching early sunday morning.

I believe most or all provincial parks open on may long weekend.

Not to hijack your thread but i'm looking for the same thing. Just a weekend getaway closer to ottawa also.
