Lac St. Pierre - St. Pierre de Wakefield

I was up in Val Des Monts the other day and remembered that I had heard that Lac St. Pierre had a public launch. I didn't have much time to look real hard but I wasn't able to spot it. Does anyone know where this launch is? Or if it's still available to the public. I was interested in trying the lak...

Has anyone found a quality altrnative to the actual Yamamotos? In the States there is a brand called Kenai (sp?) that I liked, but I haven't been able to find them in Canada. The Yums aren't bad, but don't have the same action as the real thing. Any thoughts? In my opinion and from my experience, d...

Re: Shopping for Senkos

Been in Ottawa for almost 4 years and still don't know a good fishing store other than Le Baron. Does anyone know of a good store in the Ottawa area that is well stocked in bass lures? I'm specifically looking for Senkos... Thanks. If you're talking Bass, Ed at Paddletails is the guy to go and see....

Re: Lac Leslie/ Lac Litchfield area Fishing

Hi Gang, My friend and I bought properties on Lac Litchfield, Quebec last year (Pontiac region between Campbell's Bay and Otter Lake). Lac Litchfield is full of bass, lots of fun sport fishing, but we were hoping to explore the surrounding area for trout or walleye as well. Would anyone know the ar...

Re: Ottawa river skunked me!!!

Dropped the boat at the ferry this morning, headed for the weedy bay at the right heading towards rockland. Looked like a perfect area and nothing. Tried a couple of lillies here and there and nothing. Then headed to lochaber bay which had all the making of crazy spot. Spent about an hour in there ...

Re: Thats my problem I need help with it.

I'll vouch for Mike....he definately knows his stuff. He fixed me up last summer and the fee was very reasonable. He takes pride in his work and it shows. You won't have to worry about him rushing you out the door when you settle the bill.....he will talk your ear off until your wife honks the horn...

Kars RA Centre Boat Launch - Water Level??

I may be fishing the Rideau in the next couple of days for the first time in about three years, has anyone used the launch at the Kars RA Centre in the last number of days? I'm wondering how high (or low) the water level in the creek heading into the Rideau is this year. Safe enough, I hope, to get ...

Re: Lac Leslie Boat Launch??

There are some large mouth in there also. Not far from the launch on the right side. There are sone fallen trees in the water. As far as the launch goes, be careful. It is best to have a 4X4. It is a gravel launch. And if you slip off the gravel your car drops about 8 inches. I got stuck with my ca...

Lac Leslie, Lac Thorne Bass Fishing??

I was wondering if anyone out there had any information on these two lakes in the Pontiac. Specifically, I'm interested in fishing them for bass during the summer and was hoping that there are public launches on either one, or both of them. How are they to navigate? Any shoals, hazards one needs to ...
