40th Bday -- Cabin/ATVS/Back Lakes -- Recommendations
Hey All, my 40th is coming up, and I'm looking for a cool spot where I can rent a cabin and rent some ATVs to have access to their back lakes (assume they'd have a tinny waiting back there or something)... Any good suggestions? I don't mind driving within 5-6hrs. Accommodations are least important, ...

Congrats man! Please don't let your language skills prevent you from posting. Fishing pix are fishing pix!

Re: Mississippi report
Spent much of the long weekend out on Mississippi lake. Started Friday afternoon, within the first five minutes had a 4-lb walletye. Filled in the rest of the afternoon and evening with a few smaller walleye, some out of season bass, pike and perch. Saturday was miserable, windy as all hell and rai...

Re: Helix 7 DI/GPS cutting out when I start engine
I had a similar issue with a different hummingbird unit. Turns out my battery was getting old, the power used to start my motor wasn't enough to keep the unit on at the same time. I changed the battery and the problem went away. You could put a multi-meter on the battery connections and see how muc...

Re: Boat Insurance
My recommendation would be to speak with Heather Bonadie at Rhodes and Williams before you make a final decision. Heather is a certified marine expert and only deals with boat insurance. As already mentioned, Rhodes is a broker and will assist in finding the best insurance for you from a variety of...

On the way back we passed one of the weed beds in the middle of the bay that looked like it might have been a good hump to fish - but we were tired and get...
