Well boys, it's settled. The weekend of the 22nd i'm headed up to lake ogascanan quebec. http://www.ogascanan.com/index.htm I'll for sure take lots of pics and make a report. Thanks for the help.

I believe the correct name is a bowfin. Long eel type thing with a circle dot on the tail. Ya that thing was turbo charged lol, broke water twice.

Fished wellers bay this past weekend and enjoyed moderate success. The pickeral weren't very cooperative but i did manage a nice 4lber.
