To clarify there is no overnight parking at the launch area itself but \ you can park in the large open area just as you arrive to the launch. The signs are a bit confusing but consulted with a few other local campers.

Was at the Bay Matte Launch on the weekend, great launch concrete slab with an aluminum dock on the side. Free parking overnight and all. I parked there from sat morning till Sunday afternoon.

Looks like a pretty good day for the kids. That's the way to get them involved during all seasons and temperatures.

Nice video, love seeing those specks coming up through the ice as late as April 29 that's awesome. Those kids are hooked for life now, brings back good memories for me and my son at that age.

I've never launched from Baie Matte but I heard that the launch was very muddy and or sandy and you must exercise caution when backing up to lift your boat off trailer. Can you confirm these conditions?

The lake contains Lake trout, Whitefish, Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass.

Hi there, Point Comfort is no longer a viable option. The launch there use to be private and you could use it if you camped or paid to park an elderly woman Mrs Alie use to care for it but no longer does.
