Does anyone have any experience with the Rapala R-Type rods, Falcon Bucoos, Abu Vendettas or even a BPS Carbonlite? I keep hearing that the Vendettas and BPS Carbonlites are very good rods for the price, I do hear the guides on Vendettas are suspect and I am not a fan of the guides on the Carbonlit...

i bought the longer one for mycrestline fishhawk most i think you can ajust the height if you buy one to short your stuck i would by the 52

i had a 55 lb on my 1750 fishhawk and had a tuff time with it on one really windy day. I am no pro only used it a few times from the time i bought the boat untill it was put away. i just bought a 81 lb 24 volt

i had never used a bow mounted trolling motor until this last sept when i bought my 17 ft crestliner it had a similer motor to what you are looking at and i found it hard to streer and am looking for a cable steering motor now. found it turned slow. thats my opinon

if you use pressure treated plywood be sure to reseal any cut edges. My brother did one a couple years back and sealed it all with fiberglass
