Re: Post a pic of your best/favorite catch of 2016!
It had been 5 or 6 years since I had been out to visit my brother in Vancouver and we wanted to fit in some kind of fishing trip. He asked me if I wanted to go for salmon or sturgeon. BC Salmon fishing is on my bucket list but I really wanted to have a go at Sturgeon. It was going to be a short visi...

Re: Bear Season @ the HellBear
I get antsy reaching into the net to pull a big muskie out. Can't image standing close enough to a bear to put an arrow into it. Well done!

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!
Thanks for the advice. Patience and fishing slow has never been my strong suite but I'll bump it out to deeper water, hit spot lock and work on my slooooow presentation skills. Hopefully I'll have something to post after my week off.

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!
Fall smallmouth fishing. My cottage is on a deep rocky lake with very little in the way of weeds. I can catch smallies consistently until around the end of august. Once things start to cool off my success rate goes down the toilet. The pattern I normally fish is 5-10 fow near deep drop offs - top wa...

Re: Storage solution for really big lures?
I use a milk crate but cut lengths of eavestrough to hold the lures. Just cut longer lengths for those extra big lures and the hooks won't be a problem.

Re: New PB - 112 X 47
Thanks guys. We used Lang's Fishing Adventures for the charter. I lucked into choosing them and it turns out they are known for putting clients on big fish. Back to muskie fishing last night and the thrill is definitely not spoiled. Landed a small one (34") and had a follow from what would have...

New PB - 112 X 47
We did a guided sturgeon trip on the Frasier river last week. It's something my brother and I have talked about in the past and the stars finally aligned for us. Our guide explained the finer points to us during the 15 minute run out to the spot. I guess he was convinced we knew how to fish - he tol...

Re: Marine Batteries question
Just bought 2 group 27 batteries at Costco. From everything I could find, they are manufactured by Johnson Controls and branded as Kirkland. Johnson Controls is the same company that makes batteries branded as Interstate. Not saying they are the same specs as Interstate batteries, but the price was ...

Did you purchase the motormate in Canada? They don't list any Canadian distributors on the web site.
