I think you are using a gorge hook. I have caught many lakers with a lake troll with a Gulp minnow on a gorge hook a few feet back from the troll. The gulp is always pushed up the mono to the lake troll. I am pretty sure you had that one hooked but it got off. I use a treble on the minnow rather tha...

Entire west end of Toronto is without power ... I almost feel sorry for those people in Toronto with no power let alone no A/C. Hope they bring it back online slowly or the whole system will break from over demand when they all crank up the A/C No point in feeling sorry for Torontonians, they are p...

I recently bought a Fishmark 480 from Radioworld. $210 with tax and shipping from Mississauga. I am very happy with it (apparently it is already obsolete  ).

A portable unit might work well for you as suggested. Check out http://radioworld.ca/index.php?cPath=205&filter_id=37

I launched in the creek a few weeks ago and I was fine with my 50HP (no tilt). There are a couple of deadheads between the launch and the bridge though! I was going to put a rope on them but it was getting dark and had a boat full of kids...

Pull plugs, spin it over to get most of the water out (ground your plug wires so you don't stress the ignition). Use good gas and get it running as soon as possible. A little extra oil wouldn't hurt (as suggested) but get it running ASAP! Also works for snowmobiles (I didn't sink it :o ) Please don'...

I think the confusion is due to the HP? The plugs are basically the same. For '64 - 73 9.5 hp the plug is J4C For > '58 10 HP (not 9.9) and some others (5.5, 6, 7.5) use J6C From Champions web site: J4C: 14mm Thread Size, 9.5mm (3/8") Reach, 13/16" (20.6mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Non-Resis...
