I bought a 16' kevlar (Scott Canoe) 2 years ago from Frontenac Outfitters, weighs 42lbs and thoroughly love it. It's light enough for me to handle on/off the car, even when my back is giving me issues. I can get through creeks when others can't, and can launch from the side of the road without the n...

Easy does it folks..I simply wanted to thank the fellow who showed a bit of patient courtesy towards me, it really was appreciated. Carmine is right on the putting the bow into the wave...now try a couple of wakes one after the other. Carmine, in another 10 years, you'll probably reread this thread ...

The discussion peaked my interest so I decided to reread the boating regulations. No where could I find a reference requiring an operator to slow down when passing a canoe, etc. Rather the regulations simply state that it is the operator's responsibilty ensure that their wake (or wash) does not cau...

The guy in the yellow Canoe on Dog Lake...
Just wanted to say to the guy with the Bass boat on the lower end of Dog Lake early this morning a HUGE thank you for your courtesy. You saw me sitting in my yellow canoe fishing and you waited until you were well past me before taking off full throttle. You are a rare breed. The *majority* (yes, in...

Cottage has re-rented. If by chance by a Fish-Hawker, we'll be neighbors from Wed-Sun. (Look for Fish-Hawk cap.)
