Fishing joke for ya......

He gets up early, loads his boat and trailor onto his SUV, loads his gear in the back, opens the garage door and notices just how terrible the weather is, he decides to wait out the storm, has a few smokes in his garage, finishes up his coffee, 30 minutes have gone by and still the rain hits hard. H...

Carlton U is really good. Another great spot is out along the Rideau out by the RA center oin Riverside. I've gone there many times and caught quite a large variety of fish. Floaters, jigs and spoons will land you just about any of them. If you're gonna head out that way, pm me and I'll be more than...

I've never used a leader. My buddy uses them all the time and he says that he finds that there is some "fake weight" in the line. He explains it as this, the lure isn't as mobile at the end of the leader so it screws up your cast.....I think he's just blowin' smoke out his....I'd have to g...

Luck or great angling ?

I read that everyone uses leaders when they target Pike. I have NEVER used a leader, period, wether I'm fishing for Pike or anything for that fact. I've caught my share of Pike, even the 15 pounder last weekend, using Rapala Long Casting 8lb test. The only other line I've ever used was Spiderwire an...

Pike were hitting my Mepps "Thunder Bug" like you couldn't imagine on Sunday. It all depends on the amount of fishing done of shore where you're going. As long as it's shiny, spinny and makes some sort of noise should work fine. Spoons are great, but nothing works better than rigginr your ...
