I think that one in the video is a giant Snakehead luckily, I dont think they are not found in North American ......I hope. Not that having any species of Snakehead in our waters at all would be good.

Gar tend to strike your bait fast then run with it before they actually eat it. Try waiting a few extra seconds and giving it some line you may have a better chance of getting the hook set closer to the flesh of the mouth. thats how i caught mine.

I always pass by swimbaits at lebaron and i keep wanting to try them. I guess ive been missing out. Gonna have to try them now. Great report. Awesome fish!

You should have seen the scars on the gator. Scaini's swimbait wasn't the only thing he was fighting with that day, must have been a bigger pike. Well save hime for next time
