Look for a nice island off the main channel 20. 30'ft Fish In the back eddies. 5/8 jigs with 7" power baits . Look for heavy Weeds and fish the break line . You can have more success this time of year jigging then trolling. Fish are feeding heavy Morrisburg To Gan Quality Walleye fishing.

Afternoons and evenings are the best. mornings can be productive if there's some good cloud cover and the Southwest chop. Walleye fishing in the last month has been excellent on the river. Catching walleye anywhere 15' / 35' of water. Look for the heavy weed lines with steep drop-offs. Charleston lake opener
Went to Charleston lake for the opening weekend of trout landed 7 for the Boyz and kept two for the BBQ. Charleston lake is one of the lakes in the 1000 islands area.

Water is extremely high and lots of debrie floating on the river please slow down in the north channel as the water level is at the residents door step. Hit a log today 2' under the surface was lucky prop is easier to replace then the lower unit.
