Hey Folks I have a 85 90hp Evinrude. Its a power house when it runs well. Ocasionally when I run at full out it will give me surges of power. I can not get it to full RPM but then will surge to full WOT RPM for 2-3 seconds and then die back about 1500 RPM, then surge then Die. I have not noticed any...

Was to windy to go out today. But I was able to swap my cranking battery to one that was almost 30lbs lighter. My old one was almost 70lbs. Because of changing the battery I was able to shift it forward over a foot in my rear compartment. Hopefully this helps as well.

I have raised my motor as far as I can without it cavitating. I was able to get that figured out at the end of last year. I always use a "90" rule down 70 feet let out 20 feet of line
down 50 feet let out 40 feet of line
