I never found a place I'd try around Champlain bridge... on the islands, the water seems a bit shallow. Otherwise, I tried a few places along the Ottawa river on the Hull side. Some of the salt is often inside the material itself... when the fish bites, the plastic is altered and some of the salt can escape and disolve in its mouth.
