Definitely not a Jake. It's some sort of custom bait made in small numbers by a somebody in the Ottawa area. I figured this would be the place to ask as somebody might know the maker.

I don't know what it is...sorry not a game, but it could be I guess.

It's a big lure though, around 10" or bigger I think.

Does anybody know the name of this bait? It's supposed to be made by someone in the Ottawa area.

Mr. J - I've been making my own cranks for years, if you have questions just ask. BTW, take somebody up on the offer for a pool, that's how I do my testing and you can't beat it - heated pools are even better. Try a local community pool during "off swim" hours. Buy the lifeguard some donut...

It's possible, but the likelihood for this spring may be an issue. Already time is running out.

I'm always happy to entertain any questions anybody has if that helps in the short term.

That's me that's doing the class in Thornhill. I know it's a long way for you guys to travel - many hours of driving (I know my boat came from Pirate's Cove Marine), but it's worthwhile for anyone who wants to learn how to make muskie/pike cranks, jerks, gliders and wire baits like buckies and spinn...

Get some 80 lb. Power Pro or Tuf Line and a 10" Suick and a 10" Jake. You can cast both and when you start trolling you can use the Jake.

BBB,

PM me whenever you like. I'll do my best to answer your questions. Although I primarily make muskie gear, I have made baits for many species over the years.

I use many of the suppliers that you guys use ie. www.luremaking.com, B&B Baits, Stamina and a few that don't sell retail. If you're looking for advice on muskie and pike lure making, check out my non-commercial site www.geocities.com/out2llunge. I can also provide a link to those interested in ...

I've been making my own baits for many years. You're right, it's a great feeling to catch one on a bait you made yourself, but when someone else has the confidence to run your baits well.... Also try: the forums at www.tackleunderground.com our forum at www.reprobaitlures.com/forum There's lots of s...

Thanks for the kind words Sam. We worked pretty hard to make something that people would be able to build from. It sure does help having access to some of the gear necessary to make videos. One correction though...we have a new web addy, although we're still working on the site, it's www.reprobaitlu...
