You can easily move from spot to spot quietly and efficiently with out starting up the main motor. Also really helps on the windy days. Shaft h...

Re: rules and regulation question
I've been in the same situation. If you zoom in on the MNR maps it appears those feeder creeks and rivers are in a different zone than the St. Lawrence. In my situation i could just wait a week until the season opened in those creeks.

Re: Lund boat transom saver
I'm sure people never regret buying one, but will regret not using one. Its a cheap way to help protect your investment and offers piece of mind. You wouldn't have started the thread if you already were using one . Just my 2 cents

Re: Recessed trolling motor tray arrives this week
A couple tips for you First is kind of obvious but double check there are no wires underneath the floor Another obvious one but placement. actually stand on your deck with the template in place and make sure that's exactly where you want it if you have full access underneath, slide a box under. its ...

Re: Choosing the right trolling motor
depends on the weather you fish in and bodies of water you fish. I was under powered last year with a 65lb on 17 foot astro. Was ok on the calm days but when the wind really kicked up or i was in the current i needed more power. I'm sure there are a few guys on this forum with a similar boat who cou...

Go bigger than 55lb, you do not want to be under powered. I would look for 80lb

I already posted a PB/favorite I caught this year in another thread. but as for my second favorite catch, that's tough. Had an amazing year, both the quality of fish and the people I...

And good on you for asking/posting, we need more of these posts on FH. This is the fish hawk I grew to love. I always looked forward to this site for advice. I'd rather hear is from a local guy with experience, instead of some guy 3000 miles away. Lots of members here have the knowledge and experie...
