I've been looking for spot on the Larry to try this may be interesting...
On that note.... Does anyone know any other shore fishing locations on the St. Lawrence near the 416 that they could recommend?

Re: Fake Reviews on Bass Pro.com
I have bought and tried the scatter rap briefly, it seemed to work as advertised for me; Though I have not caught anything on it just yet.

Re: Discourteous or not?
Discourteous. They should not be fishing in an area were people are swimming and enjoying their property.... Are they allowed to do so... yes.. but should they, no.... They should have just moved on to the next dock and come back when you were out of the water. If it had been me I would have asked t...

Re: Double Uni-knot reliable?
I had problems with them last year but never during the casting, they always held. I lost a couple of lures on the line breaking at the knot when trying to retrieve them from snags. This year I have been using it deeper in the spool when splicing line and it's held out well. I've used for fluro to f...

The aptley named Dog(fish) Lake ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon/smile.gif)
Yep they are edible... IIRC you need to put them on ice quick though as freshness is the key to their taste.

Re: American Shad at Carillon
It is Quieter during the week but I went out on a Monday and it was still busy. Much busier on the weekend though, especially when they are at thier peak.
I have heard that in Montreal one noob can snag 15 lines if they are not with the program and start to reel in too early.

What is it you like most of the Jackall Cherry Crankbait Zero Footer? The action?
Have you tried any other shallow lures (Rapala subwalk for example)?
I really need to get my first Gar this year. sigh...

American Shad at Carillon
Today my buddy and I went out for Shad at the Carillon Generating Station on the Ottawa River and we both got out lifer American Shads. Re: Maximizing your time out on the water
With two young kids, fishing during the day is a rarity. My wife is understanding but I like spending time with the family and feel guilty going out alone at prime times. I do have a couple of day trips planned but this is the exception. I am techie so I have thought about this to death  Alot...
