Pike aren't really fussy, anything big, streamer or gurgler would work.

I like using 1-1.5 mm craft foam, then I flatten it with my nail.

Cool. Fish open water the big smallies in that lake. The big ones chase the schools of perch around the lake.


I've caught some very nice, 4+lb smallies from that lake, and they tasted grrrrreat!!!!

I would suggest doing alot of reading on the behaviour of the species you are trying to catch. Then apply what you learnt on your home waters. I went out yesterday to a tributary of a tributary of a tributary, yes that's high up near the source, this creek was tiny! You can jump over it pretty much ...
