Another Ottawa Pickeral...
Hit the Ottawa this morning with Muskiewannabe for 6am musky fish. MW had a nice pike after about an hour or so. Caught no muskie but at about 9:30am I caught this pickeral. It was 24" long and 12.5" girth. Hit a firetiger depthraider  http://www.fish-hawk.net/photogallery/albums/us...

Nice Ottawa River Musky
Hit the Ottawa last week with Muskiewannabe and ended up landing this 42" beauty. Ended up catching two other little guys afterwards.
Cheers,

New PB musky
Not that big by most musky fisherman but since I am fairly new to musky fishing it is my PB. I caught this 45" musky while out with Muskiewannabe last week on the Ottawa. It fought well and had a good release. Cheers, NK http://www.fish-hawk.net/photogallery/albums/userpics/normal_6260_11903268...

Sounds like you have the idea for a good musky set-up. I would definitely go with a minimum of 50lb super line as it is well worth it when trolling a big bait at 4 or 5 miles/hour and it get a big hit or snag a dead head. I am still just getting into the musky fishing. I am will be shopping for a ne...

I just got a Garmin Legent Hcx and it is blue chart compatible. I think you should be able to load in the Canadian Lake maps as long as you are blue chart compatible. So far I only have the topo Canada maps loaded on it but it works really great so far. I will eventually buy the lake maps come the s...

Yes I did see the blue charts s/w on-line. I was looking around at different products for the Garmin and they have microSD cards pre loaded with lake and river details for different sections of ontario but they are $320. It would be nice to have that is for sure but I may just buy the s/w and a prog...

Garmin Legend Hcx
I just got one of these for Christmas and was wondering if anyone else who has one has any tips on what software to get or any tips on using it. I am going to be loading up the Topo Canada software onto my computer and downloading it to the unit. But I believe this doesn't give alot of the lake deta...

Try fishing deep water and the eastern waters from huckleberry hollow up the narrow stretch. I have had my best success in these sections of the lake. I have to agree with dartee as far as bait or lures goes I like NK in blue/silver, dartees, sutton spoons. But if they aren't biting spoons I would d...
