Re: Which Boat to Buy?
I'd go with the 16' for sure. You're never going to be disappointed with a little extra room. IMO the Yamaha is abetter motor and if its a 2-stroke I can tell you for sure they're bulletproof. Also if the owner is having it serviced that's a bonus right there. If you're handy at all the floor will b...

Re: Algonquin Park lake trout report
I was at Opeongo Lake yesterday. Fish were all between 40' to 60'. Only got 1 on a Sutton West River, 8 colours out.

Re: Lac Nilgault 2018
Cool report! One of my favorite lakes for sure. Big numbers and a chance at a tank. That's me on their facebook page with the 12lb laker from last year. I'll be heading back this year looking for a 20lb +......maybe a couple times.

Re: Configuration of Hummingbird Sonar
Were you able to see your bait on bottom and just not any fish? If you couldn't see anything at all close to bottom you probably had something in your cone angle creating a dead zone. Because you are stationary whatever is on bottom that may be sticking up will become the bottom you see on you unit....

Re: Ottawa River Muskie
If you try the arnprior area you also have the madawaska river as an option if the ottawa is being nasty, it can get pretty rough out there. Im not familiar with the rockland area but I've seen lots of pic of real nice fish from that stretch.

Re: Storage solution for really big lures?
I use a Lakewood musky bag. By far the best musky tackle bag IMO. I had a Plano bag but all the outside baits would get their hooks stuck in the material. It was a real pain to get them out! Lakewoods are pricey but worth it.

Salmon Charter Recommendations
Hey all, just wondering if anyone has any salmon charter recommendations for lake Ontario preferably on this side of Toronto. Myself and a few buddy would like to give it a shot this summer. Also, is there a certain time of the season that's best for catching these fish? Thanks Jon

Re: Weather for Canada Day!! To Musky or not to Musky??
The best way to get your weather is to look out your window. I don't even bother with the forecasts anymore. I've wasted so many day sitting at home because it was calling for crap weather and then of course it turns out to be a nice day. When out on Franny, i most definitely do. You're right Mav, ...
