Been awhile but you have to check this out.

Hi All, I came home on April 29th. My wife asked me to pick up her friend as her family was supposed to have a BBQ with us. Well lets just say I got smashed in the face with a 2x4. If you are offended by some minor cussing please don't view it. All I gotta say is some would have been freaking worse...

Hi Justin, I like using big bucktail jigs and jigging big spoons for large pike. About 10 feet away I'll set up my still line with a large sucker minnow set about 3 feet off of the bottom. I also trim the tail of the sucker so it doesn't have as much horse power. I set the sucker (5-10 inches long)...

I use minnows for walleye on my still line while ice fishing. I like spoons for lakers as well as tubes. For brook trout I like smaller versions of the spoons I use for lakers. Pike will attack anything that moves. I never target pike they just hit the stuff I'm presenting to walleye. It's all fun!...

I know this is a walleye thread but.....

Yeah that was a brick of a smallie. There are a few like that in that lake. More common are the 19 inchers like the one I'm holding. (caught just after my buddy got the bruiser) And the water temp at the time was 45 degrees!!!!! The forage base for these smallies are smelts. Nice and fatty. The lak...

Hi Xenos

At 58 degrees they should still be in less than twenty feet of water. Any good rock piles or islands which can channel the current through smaller areas? Anything that'll concentrate them will help you. They should be well into the feeding at those temps. *Try what Eye Tracker mentioned.* Technique...

Shallow Walleye

Hi, Water temp should dictate where you are going to fish. Right now up here water is 46-48 degrees. Walleye are anywhere from 3 feet to 10 feet. Mid lake humps are ok. (Actually got a 12.2 pound walleye in 6 feet of water on a mid lake hump.) What are the water temps where you are fishing? Oh yeah...
