My father has been requested to take some tours on his 40' pontoon boat out of the Almonte fairgrounds during this years Celtic Festival. He wants me to scout it out. I heard its nasty in there. Has anybody used the launch behind Almonte Fairgrounds? Whats the trick heading towards Appleton? I under...

Any boat with a motor over 9.9 hp should have a vessel registration. It has a spot on the back for transfer similar to a motor vehicle ownership. You need to take that and your bill of sale to Canada Customs. There is no charge for the transfer. Trailer is done at the licence bureau. You will need o...

Hmmm.... Only 8 teams, two bass over 6lbs and two over 7lbs? Two teams with 0.00lbs.

Compare the tournament stats for that water over the past 10 years. Most with over 50 teams...

Did someone forget to tare the basket?

Just a logical observation.

Markus, Sounds like fuel to me. Does it do it all the time? Can you back off then get it to rev again for a short time again? It isn't consistant. If you back off the throttle, it'll return to normal rpm's. Is getting the carbs cleaned a big job? Its a little time consuming but not hard. Are you ha...

Markus, Sounds like fuel to me. Does it do it all the time? Can you back off then get it to rev again for a short time again? I would pull the carbs and clean them before purchasing expensive electronic components. Debris in the bowls can cause that. After a period of open throttle it will get sucke...

Put a Minkota prop on your Motorguide... Problem solved. All you need to do is machine the shear pin slot a little deeper and they go right on.

FH / RJ,

Great story and that was an awesome fish. The "gesture" was our acceptance of defeat. And yes.... we were grinning as it was delivered. It's all part of the camaraderie.

Till next year....

I know its not recommended, but I have car radials on my bassboat trailer and love them. They do bulge a bit more but the ride is great and no swaying at all. Been on there for a few years and thousands of miles. Seem to be wearing good too.
