Re: Boat Launch Rideau River
Pirate Cove Marine is right at the 416 and Rideau Rd and has a launch more than capable of launching your boat.

Try Grays Creek Marina in the east end of Cornwall near Boundary Rd and Highway 2.

Re: Return to Lake Champlain...
I have to agree .. the fishing was great and hanging out in the evenings was even better! Your Facebook Live on the 401 was certainly entertaining!
Definitely looking forward to more trips to NY before the season starts up here.
Thanks boys for a great three days.

Re: a quick question about WFN
Not sure how you were watching it last night as Rogers dropped WFN back in June.
WaypointTV.com has some great fishing and hunting shows that are shown on WFN and are only slightly delayed in their availability compared to WFN.

Re: Iroquois Dam open or closed?
If you follow the Bassmaster Elite series, they are out of Waddington from July 20-23 and have made arrangements with the lockmaster at Iroquois to have the lock available for fishing boats only from 6:30-7:30am and from 2:15-3:15pm. Commercial traffic won't be allowed to lock during those times. Ba...

Re: Deep and Shallow Cranking - Two Different Rods? BASS
I'm not really a crank-bait expert but I know a guy :) A longer, stouter rod will allow you to throw/control the larger crank baits. The length will also give you more casting distance on the deeper diving crank baits, giving your lure more time at the optimal depth. A lighter shorter rod will be be...

Re: HT 2017 Ice Tour - Sail Ottawa, Saturday February 11th
Don't count on any door prizes from the mentioned sponsors. I attended the cabelas presentation and there was nothing from HT, Navionics or Vexilar. I think the pros keep them and give them to their friends or something. Didn't want to ruffle any feathers Really? No matter how many times I read you...

Re: Lake Champlain Impressions...CnR Bass Fishing.
Great report, explanation and pics RJ. Looks like everyone enjoyed success.
I certainly agree that although the fishing is always good, the best part is the evenings, sharing stories and just hanging out.
Thanks for sharing.

I loved reading these reports RJ .. fantastic job .. they certainly gave the media pass to the right guy.
As far as taking in a tournament, it sure sounds like the trip of a lifetime.

Re: Bassmaster Classic meet Canadian Charles Sim!
Great write-up RJ but you must have had an amazing experience yourself. Day 1 you shared a boat with the reigning Bassmaster Classic champion Casey Ashley .. then got to enjoy all the anglers weighing in. Day 2 you shared a boat with 2 time Elite winner Brandon Palaniuk .. then again got to enjoy al...

Re: Real maintenance or should I say reel maintenance
I always clean my reels at the end of the season for a number of reasons ... I don't think that they should sit with all that gunk solidifying for the winter. I get mine cleaned by the manufacturer/rep so getting them done once the season is over, I avoid any rush during the spring. Also, if it happ...

Great post Mav and the rods look great .. I may give this a try just to pass some time.
Of course, reading your post brings me back to an SNL skit about cork .. but that's another story

Re: FLW Okeechobee Canuck Presence
You would think that after years of watching how BASS covered the Elites, that the sheer embarrassment would have led FLW to better coverage. Disappointing doesn't even start to cover their web content and coverage. I know that there is a cost associated to producing online live/up-to-date coverage ...
