Ive used a StCroix Premier 7' for a few years now, works great for trolling all except th e really big baits. The Triumph by StCroix is effectively a Premier but assembled in asia. I think a Triumph would suit your needs nicely.

I shall be there, I need to make some space in my lakewood after spending a few Dollars at the Oddysey, so although I hate to part with fishing tackle I shall see what I can let go.

The fact that you will be using it for a trolling motor means you will be draining it on a regular basis - so a deep cycle is the best way to go. It will last longer than a combo which most marine labelled batteries are. The deep cycle cannot deliver high amps that fast but will start the main engin...

plugs, leads and coils. A week ignition system will work with no load but fail as soon as you put a load on it.

The world we live in eh! Old Man, may I speak as a novice here, who joined MCI last year in Arnprior. My first Muskie was a bit of a horror story, Ill prepaired, wrong tackle, inexperienced in netting etc etc. A majestic 45" muskie went back into the water to survive but I am not sure this woul...

Going back to Upper Buckhorn this year, we rent a cottage but you are probably too late for that. The restaurant at Bobcaygeon is good but a little pricey for kids, the one at the top of Upper B by the lock is great. You could try scottsman ponit, I think there is a resort there.

Any water rated oil with the correct SAE will be fine. Look for FC-W (Four Cycle - Water) just like you would TC-W (Two Cycle - Water) for a 2-stroke. There's not many out there yet but they will become more popular. Water rated oils have rust inhibitors and and are more tolerant of a bit of water g...

I believe the record stands for live release and it's the length that counts for this record, there have been heavier fish caught but not longer so the record still stands as far as I know.

You can even get a Navionics reader and put your cards in it and view them on your computer or in your emulator. Navionics Reader??? I know you can't plug them in direct as they wi...

Seen the Triumphs and I believe they are the same material but assembled in asia, you should get the same performance to a Premier but the build quality may? be lower. Your saving around $70 for what is essentially the same rod. I have a couple of the PM70MHFs a great general purpose Musky rod.

I believe you can get a trolling package for the Opti that will assist in getting the speed down and prevent plug fouling, never seen one but I hear they are around. I actually have the 115 4s on my 17'6" Princecraft, and my buddy has the 135 Opti on his 17'6" Legend. My 2 cents: I love my...
