Reel Cleaning Lesson-Session
Hi everyone, I`m looking for someone who knows how to take apart baitcasters to clean and oil them. I have a few Daiwas, Shimanos, and an Abu that I`d like to give some TLC to. I`ll come to you buy you a pizza lunch-dinner, and throw some cash your way. I have watched some stuff online, but it`s alw...

Re: LF: 6 AWG Marine Wire
Hey Tia, I doubt you'll need 6awg for a 12v trooper but if that is what you want and that's what MK calls for, hit up the Chandlery. It's on Poulin drive just off of Richmond road near Carling. I picked mine up there a few years ago and they had a couple of other sizes as well as all of the connect...

Re: instal a motor on yak
Sorry to jack your thread. I'm currently in the same boat ( ) I have a 12ft Sportspal that I just bought a trolling motor (Minkota 30/30) for. Last night I picked up the motor mount. My ideal situation is to put the battery in the front of the canoe and run the cables to the back. I have my b...

Re: Sportspal Mod Advice
Your sportspal looks great, professional job. It's satisfying when you can do your own mods and enjoy them, it's as fun as using the boat. I fixed up my old 14 ft aluminum with a new transom etc and used flat grey Tremclad on the inside, it's holding up well. I can get over to Shirley's bay from Ay...

Re: Sportspal Mod Advice
Got out on Lac Deschenes today and caught 3 small small mouths. Trolled with the oars around Shirley's bay and west of Aylmer Island. Not a great fishing day but fantastic weather. Took the carburetor restrictor plate out of the Mercury 2.2 and got it up to 16km per hour! Ohhhhh nice~ That looks am...

LF: Trolling Motor f/12ft Pointed Sportspal
Can buy new, but thought I'd see if any of you had one here first. I have a pointed Sportspal I need to get a tiller trolling motor for. Will need to get the motor support/adjust bar as my canoe is pointed. I will also need a battery, so if you had a packaged deal, all the better. And ... I am hopin...
