2 for 1
Last cast of the day on a Gatineau hills lake. Big splash, lots of drag but mot much fight. No wonder...Thanks to Lapp0019 for turning me on to Duo Realis Pencils: they dont just catch fish, they catch FISHES!

Re: boat launch - Lac McArthur (Quebec)
Under Quebec law and with a few exception (such as the body of water being in whole on someone's property or having it been ceded by the state prior to 1908) no one owns a navigable body of water. Everyone has a right of access THROUGH PUBLIC LAND or with permission, and the right to navigate; howev...

And that's why I love this board: there is nothing related to fishing, however arcane, that someone on it cannot answer. Fantastic!

Re: Top water set up advice
Thanks a lot guys for taking the time to share your thoughts. It`s interesting to see that at least one of you still finds use for mono. I`m just tempted to use it mostly because the hollow bodied frogs which is indeed what I meant are so light that I find the combo of fluro and wet braid interferes...

I fish from a kayak which meant two things: I can get up close and personal but I have limited space. That's why I have to have versatile set up that do a lot of things well but perhaps not perf...

Re: Rod and line advice

And yes Drop I realize I should work on my knots but is's a bit like maths for me: obviously useful but somewhat alien for me....but yes, I'll spend a few winter hours going throug my collection of knots links. As to the line issue I'm getting more and more inclned to giv...

Re: Rod and line advice
Thanks Lape. I realize line choice is a very personal issue but I'm curious to see what opinions I get. As to the mono I can't say that i thought of it for the various technniques. I have it with a Tatula spolled with 20lbs braid and a fluro 15lbs leader. What do you find are the advantages with mono?
