Open water???

Any open water for kayak crappie fishing around Ottawa yet? I want to go out this weekend April 18 or 19. If anyone wants to join in hit me with a PM/e-mail.

Cheers!

Re: Getting serious about Kayak fishing; new electronics

If you have any questions, I'm writing an article on how to build your own DIY CellBlok. I mounted my Lowrance Elite 5 and I can transfer it between kayaks equipped with GearTracks on the gunnels.

Re: Ottawa Kayaking 2015 - Let's Organize

I'd like to know more about what's on your mind. E-mail me.

I "almost" (due to icy waterways still) paddle a 2015 Coosa HD.

Cheers!

Open Boat Launches?

Has anybody seen if any boat launch is open? i.e., Wendover, Rockland, Mississppi Lake, any here in Ottawa?

My boat is ready to get wet, but don't want to drive somewhere with the boat and then realize that I can't launch.

Thanks

In deed a good looking fish and that was another thing that I noticed, it had no violence marks on it! Must be because I caught it in a very small and shallow bay.

I personally LOVE using those Tournament Frogs or Spro. You can work them fast or slow and give them a few light jerks when you are reeling them back so that the frog acquires a more natural movement. Make sure you s-l-o-w it down in pocket areas so that the fish sees it and won't miss it when it st...
