Sand Lake access
there is a public boat launch at the far east end of the lake. Large bluegills are plentiful and better than average in size and quantity than most lakes I've fished.

legal
This system is no different than fishing steelhead with beads where the hook trails the pegged bead by about two inches. Lots of discussions regarding whether the practice is ethical, however, from an enforcement point of view it is legal.

Advanced taxidermy. I got my gift of a lifetime when I had by PB 15 lb 3 oz walleye completed by these guys in a free swimming position mounted on a base. The mount was so good they asked to borrow for a while as part of their display when they moved to their new place. Pricey yes but a mount of a l...

go a little south..........
Nighthawk lake flows into Frederickhouse and can be accessed on Hwy 101. You'll get walleye, sauger, pike, perch, mooneye, whitefish and jumbo perch. The Fred is shallow and a notorious one when the wind whip up. Mitch

Horwood Lake
I lived in Timmins for 15 years and fished Horwood regularly. Walleye are a dime a dozen, lots of big pike, jumbo perch and whitefish. There's all kinds of structure to fish. You can't go wrong on this lake.
