I've definitely never seen trout cooked with the heads still on. That's new to me. Growing up as kids we caught mostly little 8 inch specks in creeks. We always fried them in butter with heads on. A few fall Specks and some scenery
We hit a couple of back woods lakes in the Gogama area last weekend. The colours were great for photos and the fishing was alright as well.
